REQUIREMENT OF ENTRY VISA

Possessing of entry visa, European and non-european citizens may visit Madagascar. Visa can be required from the Consulate's Budapest office.

To apply entry visas (tourist, transit, work, diplomatic or call courtesy) You are kindly asked to provide with:

  • a valid passport for six months beyond application date,
  • one completed application forms and signed,
  • one piece of photo pasted on to the space provided,
  • a copy of airline ticket (A/R) or booking confirmation from travel agency,
  • If you are travelling to Madagascar on business, the Consulate requires a letter of recommendation from your Company stating: (1) You are employed by the Company; (2) your business activity; (3) that you will be responsible for all your expenditure in Madagascar; (4) the name of your correspondent, if any.
  • non-profit purposes when traveling (eg. volunteer work, charity-related business), the following documents in French/English shall be submitted to the Consulate before starting the journey not later than 30 days:
    • (1) the organization's / company's introductory description (activities, references)
    • (2) the purpose of travel (eg. volunteer work, charity-related business)
    • (3) a detailed description of the mission in Madagascar (the exact date of arrival, departure and exact date, description of the daily activities of the mission will be used for equipment, list of medicines etc., details of emerging needs for the operation of the mission.)
    • (4) members of the mission: CV with photo, motivational letter with photo
    • (5) other programs outside of the missionary in Madagascar during the stay in.
  • payment of visa fees.

    That should be known:

  • Visas are issued for stays up to 90 days.
  • The Consulate reserves himself the right to exam the authenticity of the submitted documents.
  • Untrue statment may result the rejection of the visa enquiry.
  • The Consulate shall make request for additional informations.
  • The Consulate reserves himself the right to reject visa enquiry.
  • Processing time - from date of issue of application - : maximum 1 working day.
    • Visa fees for:
      • single entry : 60 euro.
      • multiple entry : 120 euro.

    Visa administration can be occured personnally or by travel agency.
